How it works

Your metabolic rate is governed mainly by the brain and the thyroid gland. Blackmores Metabolism Advantage contains the herb Coleus forskohlii, which is a digestive stimulant. Its active constituent forskolin may support normal thyroid function and metabolism.

Many weight-loss diets are often low in nutrients that support your metabolism, like folic acid, magnesium, iron, vitamin D, zinc and some B vitamins; many of these nutrients are also involved in energy production. So to help support your metabolism, Blackmores Metabolism Advantage contains these nutrients, including your recommended daily intake of iron.

Low iron levels may reduce metabolic rate by lowering thyroid function. Supplementing with iron while on a diet may support normal thyroid function and the body’s metabolism.

Weight-loss diets are commonly low in calcium, which facilitates cellular fat breakdown. When taken at the recommended daily dose, Blackmores Metabolism Advantage contains more than 20% of the recommended daily calcium intake for adults aged 19-50.

Dosage

• Adults - Take 1 tablet with each meal, or as professionally prescribed.
• Children (under 15 years) - Not suitable for children under 15 years.

Cautions

• Not recommended for use during pregnancy and breast-feeding
• Always use the label, use only as directed
• Vitamin supplements should not replace a balanced diet
• Selenium is toxic in high doses. Selenium in dietary supplements should not exceed daily dose of 100mcg

Medicine Interactions

Coleus may increase the effect of antihypertensives (blood pressure drugs). Consult your healthcare professional before use if taking blood pressure medication.
