Mood Manager is used to enhance mood where mood has been disrupted such as in the case of mild to moderate depression.
In our society, depressed mood is a growing problem and the World Health Organisation (WHO) suggests that serious emotional imbalance may be second only to heart disease as a cause of disability by 2020. This increase in mood disorders appears to be reflected across all age ranges. According to recent statistics, the prescribing of antidepressants to under-18s has increased by 60 per cent in the past four years.
Mood Manager is a new generation product, taking a two-pronged approach in managing low mood. Studies have shown that deficiencies of certain nutrients exist in people who are feeling despondent. Hence the inclusion of the vitamins, B6, B12 and Folic Acid which tend to be deficient in those people experiencing a mood disorder and are necessary for the production of mood-enhancing neurotransmitters.
Secondly, Mood Manager includes the following ingredients, Tyrosine, Omega 3 and SAMe, shown to effectively improve mood and help combat the blues. Tyrosine is an amino acid needed to make various mood-enhancing neurotransmitters such as Epinephrine and Serotonin. Fish Oil has also been included due to much research on the effects of Omega 3 Fatty Acids on depression. Many studies have looked at SAMe’s impact on improving mood and research has shown that SAMe is effective in elevating mood and will do so more quickly than most alternatives. This clinically trialled dosage of 200mg of SAMe has been included in Mood Manager.
